Hi Gerald, The files you tried are likely update packs, which is why they fail with “not on your version.” For my method, use the GitHub download bundle instead: https://github.com/myrandomtips/scansnap-s1500-windows11/ On that page, click the green Code button, then choose Download ZIP. Or direct ZIP download: https://github.com/myrandomtips/scansnap-s1500-windows11/archive/refs/heads/main.zip After downloading, extract the ZIP first. Then run this file first: WinS1500ManagerV55L10WW.exe Note: If you get “not on your version” when running Fujitsu update packs, you are probably using an updater rather than the full ScanSnap Manager installer. Download my GitHub bundle, extract it, run WinS1500ManagerV55L10WW.exe first, then manually install the included S1500 driver through Device Manager. After that, plug in the scanner and manually update the driver in Device Manager using the included driver folder: s1500-x64.inf_amd64_ff718616e5120c3b Important: don’t point Device Manager at the ZIP file itself. Extract everything first, then browse to the extracted driver folder containing s1500-x64.inf. Now 2026 and an update to Win/11 killed my S1500. Tried to use
ScanSnap Manager v7
WinSSUpdatepackV55L10WW-2 from 2021 and
ScanSnap Manager V5-6 WinManagerV56L10WW Update but both give error as soon as install starts:
Not on your version!

How do I use your set-up 4 files if I cannot get the original disstributed ScanManager installed?

In reply to Alison. Sorry Alison so many sites removed the files i have them on my machine and still use this scanner on my PC, i finally have NBN so can upload the files now and now know what i need to do to fix.

Hi Simon,
Very nice of you to try to help those who love their S1500 scanners. I also love my S1500 on my old win7 pc. I just bought a new pc with win11 installed. I would like to install and use the S1500 on my new PC. How would you suggest I proceed? I still have the original S1500 installation CD and the original Adobe Acrobat X CD. Thank you for your help.

Tried your links above and no download for the S1500 in Nov 2025. Guess this means I’m s… out of luck 🙁
I love my scanner too and they are expensive to replace.

When I tested it, I still had to manually apply the drivers after installation. To help, I created a file:
s1500-x64.inf_amd64_ff718616e5120c3b.zip

After installing the main application, try going into Device Manager to add the driver manually.

per the above instructions:
“Download the Windows ScanSnap Installer Setup Program from here – https://scansnap.fujitsu.com/global/dl/setup/w-inst2-v7.html”

When I click on the above url, I’m redirected to: https://www.pfu.ricoh.com/global/scanners/scansnap/dl/index.html

Seems that Ricoh doesn’t want people gaining access to the software/drivers for the no longer supported s1500.

Am I doing something incorrect?

Quando l’ho provato, dovevo ancora applicare manualmente i driver dopo l’installazione. Per aiutare, ho creato un file:

Dopo aver installato l’applicazione principale, prova ad accedere a Gestione dispositivi per aggiungere manualmente il driver
